The Star Wars issuance includes 15 First-Class stamps that show familiar characters and vehicles from the six movies in the series: Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Princess Leia Organa and R2D2, C-3PO, Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Emperor Palpatine, Stormtroopers, Boba Fett, the Millenium Falcon, An X-Wing starfighter, Queen Padmé Amidala, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, & Darth Maul.

The selvage features background images of a space battle, including a Star Destroyer, TIE fighters, X-Wing starfighters, and the second Death Star as shown under construction.

All stamp artwork was created by longtime Star Wars poster artists Drew Struzan.
